If you have been to a club in Copenhagen, New York or Berlin you have most likely seen someone wearing Anna Gunvor’s human billboards. Since 2021 Anna Gunvor have been making statement t-shirts distributed through the club scene of Europe and America..
Within a time where the zeitgeist is mediated through countless images, Anna’s statement t-shirts use simple words and phrases to mirror our time and a time yet to come. The prints are precise and ambiguous at the same time. By using analog mediums; silkscreen, t-shirts and the body - it transforms humans into billboards only to be found in the streets and in the club. Each statement is subverted by the body wearing it; commenting on trends, questioning political (in)correctness and foreshadowing the future.
Together with photographer CLEMENT MOGENSEN they have created the shoot BILLBOARDS. The community represented are a mix of international cultural figures, yuppies and underground/urban legends wearing their own designs by Anna Gunvor.
